Well I’m very disappointed with this bike.not made by mongoose poor build quality.made in india.seat can’t even be straight tilts backwards my daughter slip’s off so had to order new seat post and seat at extra cost.

Purchased for 12yr old son. Bike came well packaged and was very easy to build. However, i dont know if this was deliberate or not from the factory, but the wheel bearings were so tight that the wheels wouldn’t rotate. Also the wheel position in frame meant the chain was also far too tight. So did take a bit of adjustment and fine tuning to get running sweetly. Once setup it is a decent bike for the price. Looks smart in black but the front frame Mongoose badge is already peeling off. The only issue now is the brakes are quite weak. I’ve given them some time to wear in, but they are still not strong enough IMO. It could be that the calipers just flex too much or it could be the pads are no good. Will probably look into getting some clear compound pads that should be more suitable to painted rims.

Took me 3 weeks to assemble, nightmare finding the right tools and then assembling it and then pumping the tyres. Not easy and no instructions – so pushed into the deep end. Anyway, now it’s done amazing bike

Bought for my sons birthday and he loved it, until 3 weeks later we went for a ride and 2miles from home his pedal and pedal arm came loose then literally dropped off. Crank was half hanging out by time we got home so had to return for refund. Which was a double kick in the teeth as they wouldn’t replace it, I can only guess because the price had gone up by £35 since buying it. So now we have to buy it again and pay £35 extra for the pleasure. I wouldn’t bother but my son doesn’t want any other bike. Shocking.

For an expensive make it’s sad to see that all the stickers, including the main Mongoose one at the front, are not put on properly. It looks great otherwise. But I’m sad that a bike at this price, can’t get their branding stickers straight or stuck on properly.

Very disappointed as both tyres are buckled. The bike is a birthday present for our 11 year old. May not seem a lot but my husband was struggling to get the tyres Central then realised the problem is the wheels.

Worst mongoose I’ve ever seen in my life.. took to my local bmx track and the crank bent after 10mins and is now unridable.. mongoose are now Halfords quality bikes for stupid prices.. I grew up on a mongoose and it was the best bike I’d ever used, hence why I went for mongoose, but this is the worst bmx I’ve ever seen in my life…
